Hello again everybody, it is time once again for the Andy Mattison golf and softball tournaments. I can’t believe that this is going to be the 4th Annual tournaments already. We just now got the dates finalized so sorry for the (kind of) short notice. We are going to space out the events this year over 2 weekends to give us a weekend that we can scramble and put everything together in one, if need be. Don’t forget that while there are prizes for both tournaments, we have an overall winner for both tournaments (last year’s defending champions are Mo Boys from Decatur).
The tournaments will be as follows:
Golf Tournament: Saturday March 17, 2012 – 8am (Only one tournament this year)
The event this year by popular demand (from my boys in Decatur, although not so much from them) will be at Willow Springs GC, in Haslet, TX. This year’s tournament (on purpose) is on St. Patty’s day!!!! So we encourage everyone to come decked out in Green and horrible pants.
The Golf tournament will be a 4 man best ball. Entry fee for each team is $300 that includes: a meal, free range balls, and a gift bag. There will also be a mulligan package of $12.50 per person (more details to come). This year since it is on St. Patty’s we will have awards for the following:
1) Best Team Outfit
2) Most Green for a Team
3) Best individual outfit
4) Best (Worst) Pants

Softball Tournament: Saturday March 24, 2012.
The event this year will be at the same place that it always is Northfield in North Richland Hills, TX. The Softball tournament will have 16 Men’s teams and 8 Co-ed teams. The Men’s will be a double elimination tournament. The Co-ed will be pool play, 2 game guaranteed, with teams advancing out of each bracket into a single elimination flight play. Entry fee for each team is $150, losers pay.
